Thoughts and observations from life around the riverrim....
...including spinning weaving, knitting, gardening, flax, chickens, rabbits, alpaca..............
and whatever wild life wanders by
I (along with Mr. Sparrow) are very glad we didn't get the amounts they were originally calling for. Now I am going to go work in the garden. Maybe Mr. Sparrow will stop on by for a spell.
I've never heard of a Fox Sparrow either but what a beauty! I'm happy to report the sun is shining and most snow has melted. The lambs are growing like weeds and kicking up their heels in play. My little chippie(chipmunk) is sitting on my porch everyday and hops on my lap to take a peanut from my hand...ahhh...life is good :-)

ah, maybe he just wanted to see some snow! I'd like to see some snow!
I feel exactly as grumpy about the snow as he looks!
What a pretty sparrow! I don't think I have ever seen one in my area. Hopefully by the weekend this white stuff will be all gone!
At least it will all melt with the higher temps over the weekend! Your feathered friend looks similar to my ovenbird.
I saw on the news that snow was pounding its way through your area. Poor little fox sparrow. Hopefully it will melt fast.
