"Twiddling" for lack of a better word- describes the technique he is using to spin the wool. Note the position of his fingers (two in front and thumb behind the spindle) and how he spins in an almost supported style, without any support for the spindle. Also note the how he is able to wind on to that large cop with ease. Imagine the strength and skill of his hands.
