Those "showers" we got this afternoon were amazing. I was in town and from the looks of the house the dogs were freaking out from the thunder.
I can see the river rim has been raised quite a bit. The hint of fall color is coming on. Aaahhhh wonderful rain. Love the heart shaped leaf. Cheers.
The scary thought is what if we get this much precip as snow next month! Yikes.
How I miss seeing sassafras - always loved them any time of the year!
The sound of the Poudre River and the aspen smell about drove me out of my mind with joy a few days ago... time to be out and about, isn't it?
Oh how beautiful!
So, does sassafras smell? There's a spot on the trail that we nicknamed Cotton Candy Falls (many years ago) because the area smells sweet, like cotton candy. I've racked my brain trying to figure out what the smell is and the only thing I can figure is sassafras. What do you think?
