Imagine my surprise today when I found two, not one mind you, but two blogs that have taken my words and called them their own. I am so glad to have this brought to my attention, perhaps I can do something to stop it.
First we have this one http://cincyverspig.duskdiary.com/ They have copied directly a post of mine from September 24, 2005. It is about wood warblers. I was posting about the fall migration. They simply copied and pasted my text. It seems to be the only entry.
Far worse is this page: http://xienloathesy.duskdiary.com Here I have found entry after entry composed of my work. Does anyone know what I should do about this? I tried to leave a comment on the blog, but it wouldn't take it.

interesting that they are both hosted at duskdiary.com
How did yoyu come across them?
That's terrible! Did you look at some of the other pages on the second blog? Very strange collection.
I wonder if this is some kind of automatic scanning and copying thing. The jumble of subjects is very odd. I can't think what the point of it is, however, unless it is to get you to click on something dubious!
yea, I cannot see the point in it either...but it is rather annoying to be lumped in with all that strange collection of things. And I wonder about "duskdiary"...I flagged the blog, so hopefully they will do something about it and take the page down. I found out about it through an email- someone had searched for my page, and found those up there too. Some of the posts have the word "riverrim" in them, so that is why the page was referenced.
I just resent the fact that they claim authorship...I feel like I am in 6th grade and someone copied my essay....
They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. Maybe if they would have been nice and 1 asked and 2 given you credit, you might have considered it that way. The way they did it is stealing. On the upside, I checked the one site and the one thief is suspended now.
The second site you listed looks like it has been suspended. I think what ever you did worked.
Scary how some people live with themselves.
Several garden bloggers have had content stolen by these "duskdiary" blogs of various names, me included. Not sure what all can be done about it, other than flagging the blog and writing "stolen content" as the reason. Then it usually disappears. But, that's probably like trying to kill cockroaches. For everyone we flag, there are probably 2 more being created!
I have the name of the hosting company and am planning to send something to them.
Wow that is crazy you just can't imagine why they would do it. Our world is made up of some very different people! I have to go under anonymous because for some reason it does not like my password.

Looks like the second site at least has been taken down. How did you discover it?

Hello Cyndy,
I'm sorry to know they hit you, too. The one that had my stuff disappeared, too, but apparently it goes on all the time and I just lucked into finding it.
This really stinks, doesn't it!
