windfall

* Take approx. 7 lbs. of country apples.



Wash.



Peel.



and chop.



Stir in 2 cups of sugar/ 1 quarter cup of flour / and 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Let sit for 30 minutes until the juices start to flow. Cook down over low heat and pour into hot jars. Cap and ring. Hot water bath for 25 minutes.

Repeat from asterisk until all the apples are used up.

Wow! You have a cooler apple peeler than I do! I have two of those green, newfangled ones. We didn't get many apples off the tree in the back yard as it was severely pruned back this spring. I did make applesauce and it was good enough that I think I should make more. I'll have to figure out a place to get some apples. The country trees here are hard to get to.
