What a great way of practicing knitting techniques.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789839.post-1144321610357095892006-04-06T07:06:00.000-04:002006-04-06T07:06:00.000-04:00Hi Judith-I save the corn husks from the corn I gr...Hi Judith-

I save the corn husks from the corn I grow. When we strip the ears in the summer, I pick out some choice looking husks, and press them for later use. I have read that the colonial spinners saved the cobs for use on the spindle too, but have had a hard time trying to verify the source.

Hope your burning ban gets lifted soon so you can get rid of the piles!cyndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18006126625281714507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5789839.post-1144280898325132772006-04-05T19:48:00.000-04:002006-04-05T19:48:00.000-04:00I love reading about the use of the corn husk. We have not been allowed to burn yet--we need more rain/snow...we have so many piles ready to go. Great photos all the way 'round!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
